GETTING MEASURED  
How to ensure the best fit for you and everyone in your wedding party.  

Once your wedding attire has been selected, the members of your wedding party should come in to be measured.

Measurements for everyone should be in our files no later than thirty (30) days prior to the wedding.

Children in the wedding party should be measured 1½ to 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

In-store measurements do not require an appointment, and they can be completed during regular store hours.

Make sure that each member of the wedding party knows the groom’s name and the date of the wedding.

A measurement session takes only a few minutes; however, it may take longer during our busiest times (Thursday evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays).

A deposit on the tuxedo is required at the measurement session.  This can be any applicable amount from as little as $25.00 down to full payment by cash, credit card, or local check.

Balances will be due at the time of final fitting and pickup.

It is recommended that the groom or the bride call J.P. Tuxedos 3 weeks prior to the wedding to confirm that all members of the wedding party have measurements on file.  It will be the groom’s responsibility to remind wedding party members to be measured.  

OUT-OF-TOWN Measurements
Out-of-town members of your wedding party will find it easy to provide their measurements to J.P. Tuxedos.  

Direct the out-of-town members of your wedding party to our Out-of-Town Measurement page on the web. There they will find all of the information and instructions necessary as well as a printable measurement form. The can also email us their measurements through the form.

If someone is unable to find a men’s wear store or tuxedo rental establishment in his area, he must know the proper techniques needed to ensure precise measurements. Click here for instructions in obtaining proper measurement.  J.P. Tuxedos is not responsible for measurements provided outside of our own store.

Please advise your out-of-town gentlemen that it is imperative to include the groom’s name, the date of the wedding, and their own home phone numbers when submitting their measurements to J.P. Tuxedos.  

Out-of-town wedding party members will be required to pay for their rentals in full at the time of final fitting and pickup.

FINAL FITTING & PICKUP OF TUXEDOS  
Where, when, and how to have your final fitting and pick up your tuxedo.  

Wedding party tuxedos will be available for final fitting and pickup at J.P. Tuxedos in Oak Forest, Illinois, as follows:  

It is highly recommended that each member of your wedding party allows enough time to try on his tuxedo at the time of  pickup. This ensures that each piece of the ensemble will fit properly.

At our peak times for picking up tuxedos, please be prepared to spend as much as an hour to complete the process.  We handle our customers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chances are that not everyone in your wedding party has worn a tuxedo before. An in-store final fitting also allows our friendly and courteous staff to show your attendants how the pieces fit, adjust, and should be worn.  

If any wedding party member cannot come to the store for a final fitting, it is recommended that his ensemble be picked up at the earliest availability and tried on at home, allowing time for any alterations or exchanges that may be necessary.

ALTERATIONS
While you wait … we guarantee the best fit.  

Occasionally, alterations may be necessary to ensure the best fit.  These alterations normally will be done while you wait.  

If, however, the alterations require more time, we will ask you to return to have a second final fitting before the wedding.

PAYMENT & FEES  
Helpful hints to share with the members of your wedding party so that they can plan their finances accordingly.  

Any cancellation of any wedding party member's tuxedo must be made no later than 7 working days before the wedding.  Grooms are fully responsible for the rental fee of any tuxedo not picked up.

Deposits given at the time of measurement are accepted in the form of cash, credit card, or local check.  

Final payments at the time of pickup (either balance due or full amount) are accepted in the form of cash or credit card only.  We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover.

The Damage Waiver fee is included in the total amount for each person’s rental.  

Late Fees are charged when a rented tuxedo is not returned by the date and time specified.  Our charge is $25.00 per day.  

RETURNING YOUR TUXEDOS  
Options to make the after-the-wedding chores quick and easy.  

Unless otherwise arranged for in advance of your wedding, all tuxedos are due back to J.P. Tuxedos by 8 pm on the Monday following the event.  

Tuxedos for Friday weddings can be returned on Saturday following the wedding between 10 am and 4 pm.

Tuxedos should be returned by each attendant or by one or two designated persons.  

If returned by designated personnel, they should be advised of whose tuxedos are being returned so that the return can be recorded properly.  

All tuxedos should be checked for personal belongings in the pockets as J.P. Tuxedos will not be responsible for these items.  

Late Fees are charged when a rented tuxedo is not returned by the date and time specified.  Our charge is $25.00 per day.
